SEO article writing is a proven strategy that has been shown to work. The problem is, it’s hard work to write decent material that you won’t be embarrassed to have posted about you or your site. Do you really want some dude in Latvia making a pitch about your services on some article directory that will be online forever? Nothing against Latvia, of course, but probably not.

Writing Search Engine Optimized articles for SEO article directories can be time consuming, and you’ll need to tap some creative juices you might not think you have. But if you want to rank better on the search engines, buckle up and get over that writers block – or hire someone else to do it.

Just keep in mind that you get what you pay for. I’m not opposed to hiring people to do article writing, per se. Hey, I am happy to do some SEO article writing for you. But the problem with hiring someone else to do this kind of thing for you is that…well, they’re not you. No one knows or can present your message better than you.

Once you’ve written your first SEO article, your work is just beginning. You then need to submit it to article directories. There are some automated submission services out there, but here are the two main challenges to overcome:

  1. Many article directories do not allow automated submissions.
  2. There are a lot of article directories out there (hundreds), meaning you can spend a lot of time just submitting to each one.
  3. Google doesn’t give much credence to a hundreds of identical or similar articles, leading to the need to take your articles and edit them into unique versions (sometimes called article spinning).

These challenges can be overcome as you gain the experience and invest in the tools needed to become a successful article marketer. If you do choose to hire someone to do this for you (me, perhaps – call me at 208-249-8893), make sure you interview them extensively and read some of their material (you’re reading mine right now!).
